E3 – Educate Engage and Empower, Cultural Competency Communications Training
Objective
Create an environment from which communications strategies can have an impact by enhancing the bench strength of marketing, diversity and inclusion, communications, and public affairs professionals to help to ensure that communications are strategic and culturally and socially-perceptive and relevant.
Tactics & Results
Assessment of strengths and areas for development that resulted in:
messages that are personally relevant; influences and inspires; storytelling that demonstrates sensitivity to cultures and social and lifestyle differences; and understanding attitudinal differences and the nuances of audiences and topics. Learnings from E³ helped participants to meet their audience where they obtain their information, and leverage the company’s cultural capital and its diverse executives via strategies that establish authentic relationships and build trust and credibility. The training module includes unconscious bias training.
Communications plans and strategies demonstrate a long-term commitment to meeting under-served and unmet needs.
