Objective

To establish Jessica Brown as an expert in the field of financing a post-secondary college education, build the COLLEGE GURL™ brand as a significant resource for students, adults and families nationally and abroad, to meet her mission to increase financial literacy among post-secondary students and their families and to establish meaningful and productive relationships between The College Gurl™ Foundation, public and private sector organizations.

Tactics & Results

Developed an outreach and engagement strategy to foster relationships with target audiences; corporations and organizations. Developed and implemented a public relations, marketing and media strategy to secure speaking and presentation engagements and to secure opportunities to be a contributor on television and radio broadcasts in the area of education. Created a development plan for The College Gurl™ Foundation to solicit donations and funding for its programs to benefit middle and high school students, such as college tours and scholarships. Developed opportunities to promote her book How to Pay for College When You’re Broke.

Jessica Brown and the College Gurl™ brand are considered a “go to” resource of news and information valuable to navigating the pitfalls and pathways of financing a post-secondary college education and an advocate for enhancing the financial aid literacy of students, adults and families.
